"When you're young you don't know how to make the good things last."
- The Midnight Hour (2022)
Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Michael Tracey is a singer-songwriter chasing the nostalgia of the 80s. He merges the past with the future in synth-drenched pop tunes that make you cry while dancing. Inspired by artists from the 80s such as Pat Benatar and Starship, and modern artists and bands like The Midnight, Taylor Swift, and Jack Antonoff, he is currently deep in creation mode putting the final touches on his new project entitled “Prayers in the Midnight Hour.”
Firmly focused on upbeat songs that people can connect with, his first release - “Why Don’t You Stay?” - is an anthemic tune capturing the uncertainty of the moment that you feel a connection with someone, accented by the grand synth chords that make up the atmosphere of this song.
Stay tuned for the release of “Prayers in the Midnight Hour” later this summer, with "Highway" being the first of the releases.
